Hannah Keryakoplis claims Birmingham City cannot afford to panic as a thrilling FA Women’s Super League title race comes to its conclusion on Sunday.

Birmingham sit two points behind leaders Chelsea going into the final game of the season against Notts County on Sunday.

If results go their way a win against the Lady Magpies would see them crowned WSL champions.

But Keryakoplis is refusing to be distracted by the thought of the title, and the 20-year-old striker says the Blues would not make the mistake of underestimating Notts County after beating them 1-0 earlier in the season.

“We’ve just got to be positive really and concentrate on ourselves, and let the other results look after themselves,” she said.

“We’ll need to play the game and not the occasion, that’s the best way to look at it. I don’t think we’ll panic.

“Obviously the only way we are going to win the league is if other results go our way, but if we win our game there’s nothing more we can do.

“Notts County have been a very good side this season. They are well-organised, strong, and the manager has been good for them this year.

“We definitely won’t underestimate them as a team as we know how good they can actually be, so we’ll go into the game as if we were playing the top side in the league.”

Meanwhile Notts County’s Rachel Corsie is hoping her side can carry their recent form into the clash at Solihull Moors FC.

Fifth-place County have won their last three games, but Corsie knows the job is not done yet for this season.

“There’s a really positive mood around the camp,” said the Scottish international. “We have had some good results over the last few weeks, which we’ve deserved.

“We have turned things around, and now just want to end the season with a win.

“It’s a huge game for them but we can’t get involved other than doing our own job.

“We always ensure that we have a good preparation going into every game and a lot of teams have said that we are tough to beat.

“We want to continue that into our final game. Their ground suits their qualities and they have some really good players so it will be a difficult game.”
