The FA, Brent Council and Wembley Stadium Foundation came together on 1 October to celebrate the relaunch of Wembley Stadium’s Learning Zone, continuing their commitment to creating inspiring educational opportunities for children across Brent.
The Learning Zone brings classroom subjects to life through interactive workshops in music, drama, geography and history, alongside a tour of Wembley Stadium. The programme is free for Brent maintained primary schools and SEN schools, with more than 2,500 local pupils taking part between January and May 2026.
A highlight of the relaunch was the unveiling of a new mural designed by local student Man Bhatt from Sudbury Primary School. The artwork celebrates what Wembley means to local people and the connection between the stadium and its surrounding community. Man attended the event with his family to see his design revealed for the first time.
Guests also enjoyed a performance from the Brent Music Service Youth Voices Choir and a Q&A with former England international Rachel Yankey OBE.
Reflecting on her Brent roots and journey in football, Rachel spoke about the importance of positive role models, encouragement and creating opportunities for young people to reach their potential.
The event welcomed local head teachers, community partners, the Mayor of Brent and local councillors, celebrating the partnership behind the programme and its continued impact.
Through the relaunch, The FA, Brent Council and Wembley Stadium Foundation hope to inspire more children to build confidence, discover new interests and realise their potential through learning at one of the world's most iconic venues.
