Martin Sherif sanctioned
Martin Sherif of Everton FC has been fined £5,000 for breaching The FA’s betting rules.
The player admitted breaching FA Rule E1.2 by causing, permitting, or enabling 61 bets to be placed on football matches between 20 November 2024 and 12 February 2026.
An independent Regulatory Commission imposed this sanction and the written reasons for its decision can be seen below.
