Put simply, representing England is a dream come true.

I know it’s clichéd, but you feel proud and honoured every time you play for your country. It’s what every player wants to do.

And to play for England in a World Cup is incredible.

Sometimes my family and friends may take it for granted because I’ve been playing professional football for eight years and playing for Manchester United, but I never have and never will. I have to pinch myself at times.

Going to this World Cup with England is a huge achievement for me and my family because we’ve all been on this journey together.

I played at the World Cup in 2014 and I’m just as excited about going to Russia.

Fingers crossed for a successful trip.
