Fara Williams and Jade Moore have been left out due to injury, while Jordan Nobbs, Katie Chapman, Karen Carney and Portland Thorns duo Lianne Sanderson and Jodie Taylor have been rested for this squad.

England will take on Estonia in Tallinn on Monday 21 September (KO 5pm BST), as they get their UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 qualifying campaign under way.

It is the Lionesses’ first match since they finished third at this summer’s showpiece in Canada, their best-ever finish.

Sampson said: “It’s important that we keep building on the momentum from the World Cup and keep improving.

“Our ambition is to continue to grow as a team over the course of the qualification process and the match with Estonia signifies not the start of our journey but the next stage in the group's journey.

“With the limited rest period for some players following the World Cup, there are some of the tournament squad who have yet to recover fully from injuries they sustained over the course of the season.

“Working with the clubs, we have left some players, who would have been selected for the squad, out to continue their rehab work.

“This has opened the door for a new group of players who were not part of the World Cup group but have shown strong qualities over the course of the season and deserve an opportunity as part of our England group.”

England’s next home game is against Bosnia & Herzegovina at Bristol City FC on Sunday 29 November.

Tickets are on sale now priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available at £10 and group booking discounts apply.

Tickets can be purchased via tickets.bristol-sport.co.uk or by calling 01179 630 600.
