Horsham FC hit Sittingbourne for six in FA Trophy

Horsham were the stand-out winners as they cruised to a 6-2 win over Sittingbourne.

The victory means the Hornets can now look forward to a home tie against Ware in the First Round Proper of the FA Trophy.

Player-manager Gary Charman stole the show as he netted a superb hat-trick to make a it a memorable day for the Sussex club.

Lewis Hamilton, Tony Nwachukwu and Harry Smith also managed to get their name on the scoresheet.

Thamesmead Town recorded the best away win of the day as they beat Aylesbury United 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.

Robert Carter was the hero for his side with two well taken goals and they will now play Three Bridges.

In the other game played on Sunday Cray Wanderers recorded a 2-0 home win over Hastings United.

Ian Daly scored the first goal on 76 minutes and a penalty from Shaun Welford in injury time helped them reach the next stage of the competition.
