The 26-year-old started the Cyprus Cup Final defeat by France, but her first goal of the year came in the 9-0 rout of Montenegro in Brighton in April.

And just over a month later, Dowie and Eniola Aluko each scored a brace as England registered an impressive 4-0 win over Ukraine in Shrewsbury.

The striker, who helped Liverpool retain their FA WSL 1 title, also featured against Belarus and Montenegro.
