Gordon Strachan's Scotland have serious business at Wembley next Wednesday - but it was at the old stadium in 1992 when he experienced one of his funnier moments.
At the time, the Tartan Army boss was playing for Leeds United against Liverpool in The FA Charity Shield.
Leeds were 4-2 up, having just extended their advantage thanks to Eric Cantona's third goal of the afternoon.
But with a minute to go, Liverpool had a corner. The ball dropped to the left foot of Mark Wright, who drove towards the near-post which was guarded by Strachan.
The Scottish midfielder had only been on the field five minutes and tried to control the ball on the line, but was almost helpless as it squirmed over the line.
"I decided I was going to be really cool, stop the ball on the line and start a move from there, but unfortunately I got the spin wrong," Strachan told TheFA.com.
"It shows you the power I had at Leeds at the time. Nobody said a word and they all just looked at me and walked away. The funniest part is the length of my hair then, too."
Fortunately for League champions Leeds, the score remained 4-3 and they claimed victory in the season's curtain raiser.
And 21 years later Strachan looks back on his own-goal with a smile.
"That was funny, the more I look at that the more I laugh," he added.
"It’s one of these things I don’t mind talking about. I don’t like talking about my football career, but I do like talking about that because I think it’s hilarious.
"But if you’re going to score a goal like that, you might as well do it at Wembley."
