Harrowby United moved themselves one step closer to Wembley

Bruno Holden’s stunning hat-trick ensured Harrowby United's campaign in The Buildbase FA Vase is not over yet after easing past Clifton All Whites 4-0 in their first round qualifying replay.

The two teams had shared a thrilling 2-2 draw after extra time in Saturday’s first meeting thanks to a late United goal and they carried on that form when Holden headed home Sam Grouse’s cross on the half-hour.

The second was to come the striker’s way after half time, before Holden completed his hat-trick with 16 minutes left on the clock from the penalty spot.

Joe Wroughton added gloss to the scoreline with a fourth in the closing stages, with Harrowby securing a second round qualifying tie at home to Leicestershire outfit St Andrews.

Elsewhere, Marcus Bowers’ double sent Basildon United to the next stage, as they held off a valiant fightback from St Margaretsbury to win 2-1.

Bowers had scored in the sides’ first meeting and opened proceedings in the replay with a stunning free-kick.

The same man added a second after the break, and while the visitors clawed a goal back, it was the Bees left buzzing come the final whistle.

That was the same scoreline which graced Liversedge’s visit to Prestwich Heys, while Irlam also impressed away from home, their victory coming against Atherton Laburnum Rovers.

Meanwhile a tie with Peterborough Northern Star awaits for Potton United, after Danny Webb was among the scorers in the 3-0 win over Netherton United.

Chris Stapleton’s hat-trick ensured Buckingham Athletic eased past Bedford 6-1 away from home, with the goals also flowing for Deal Town in their replay with Glebe, winning 7-2.

A 5-0 win over Thackley means Padiham will now play Ashington in the Second Round Qualifying, while Barnton secured a first win of the season by knocking out Penistone Church.

There were also wins for Hallam, Forest Hill Park, Erith Town, Cogenhoe United and AFC Hayes as the replays drew to a close in this year’s first round qualifying.
