Five different England squads will be selected on Thursday ahead of November's games

Players from five England teams will be watching on Thursday to see if they're named in the squads for November

There will be five separate England squad announcements on Thursday ahead of November’s international matches.

Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions face a double-header at Wembley against current world champions Germany and South American challengers Brazil, as they continue preparations for next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

England squad announcements
  • Senior - 2pm
  • U21s - 1pm
  • U20s - 12pm
  • U19s - 11am
  • U17s - 10am

The senior squad for those games will be revealed at 2pm, following on from the four men’s development teams who also face important games this month.

Young Lions boss Steve Cooper, who led last season’s group to the U17 World Cup title in India last week, will be back on duty as U17 head coach with a new batch of players as they welcome Germany, Portugal and Russia to St. George’s Park for a mini-tournament.

They are building up to hosting next summer’s U17 Euro Finals and will face Portugal at Chesterfield on Wednesday 8 November, Russia at Burton Albion on Saturday 11 November and Germany in Rotherham on Tuesday 14 November.

Cooper’s squad will be the first of the day to be named at 10am and tickets for those three games are already on sale.

The U21s will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of their Euro qualifying group next Friday, when they travel to Kiev for a match with Ukraine and boss Aidy Boothroyd will announce his squad for that game at 1pm.

Keith Downing’s U20s have made an impressive start to their campaign since September and, like the U21s, they also have just a single game to prepare for which comes in the shape of a trip to face Germany on Tuesday 14 November. The squad for that game will be revealed at 12pm.

England U19s begin their defence of last season’s Euro title next week too, with the UEFA U19 Euro qualifying round sending them to Bulgaria for games against the host nation, Iceland and Faroe Islands. Paul Simpson will pick his group for that trip at 11am on Thursday.

TheFA.com will be the first place to see the squads as and when they’re officially unveiled, or you can follow @England on Twitter for more updates and reaction throughout the day.
