Alex McCarthy linked up with England's goalkeepers as the Three Lions got back to work ahead of Sunday's trip to Slovakia.

The squad were given a rest day on Thursday but were back out on the grass at St. George's Park with 48 hours until their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Southampton goalkeeper McCarthy, who replaced club-mate Fraser Forster on Thursday afternoon, joined the squad for the first time since his solitary previous call-up, in 2013.

And FATV were in attendance to see how he and his fellow stoppers are shaping up as they were put through their paces by new goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson:

The Three Lions will train at St. George's Park on Saturday morning before flying to Slovakia, where they will visit the City Arena before manager Sam Allardyce and captain Wayne Rooney hold their pre-match press conference.
