Hayes & Yeading eased into the First Round with a 6-0 win

Hayes & Yeading United hit Horsham for six on Sunday to cruise into the First Round of The FA Trophy.

Phil Babb's Conference South side were the overwhelming favourites in this home clash against Horsham, who sit 54 places below them in the pyramid.

And the visitors proved to be no match for the rampant hosts, who scored three in each half to secure their 6-0 win.

Captain Matty Harriott started the rout in 24th minute before Pat Cox made it 2-0 eleven minutes later.

Isaac Layne grabbed Hayes & Yeading's third on the stroke of half-time and there was no stopping the hosts after the interval.

Mason Spence got in on the act just past the hour mark and Layne doubled his tally for the afternoon nine minutes from time.

And, in added time at the end of the second half, Louis-Rae Beadle iced the cake for the hosts with their sixth goal.

But while the goals flowed at York Road, there was a good old-fashioned stalemate in Sunday's other tie.

West country rivals Gloucester City and Bath City will need a replay to decide who progresses after they drew 0-0 at Whaddon Road.
