Neil Danns sanctioned
An independent Regulatory Commission has given Neil Danns a six-month suspension, which is suspended until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, and a £1,000 fine for breaches of The FA’s betting rules.
It was alleged that the now Southport FC manager breached FA Rule E8 65 times by placing bets on football matches between 17 February 2007 and 13 August 2022 while he was a participant at various other clubs.
Neil Danns admitted the charges against him, and the Regulatory Commission imposed these sanctions following a hearing. The Regulatory Commission’s written reasons can be read below.
