Following UEFA’s publication of the Autumn international fixtures, England’s Nations League fixtures have been confirmed.
The prospect of international football returning is exciting. As a result of the coronavirus, the international landscape is changing every day but it is not yet clear if the autumn fixtures will be ticketed events for home and away supporters.
We are continually working with UEFA, the UK Government and opposition FAs to provide a best possible solution for all involved. However, we can confirm the following for members:
- If away fans are permitted to attend England’s away fixtures, only members of the current 2018-2020 Travel Club will be eligible to apply for and purchase tickets.
- No caps will be issued if any of the matches take place behind closed doors.
- In the event the Nations League fixtures take place behind closed doors or without away supporters, The England Supporters Travel Club and The FA are not liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by members.
England's September fixtures
Iceland v England, Saturday 5 September, 5pm BST
Denmark v England, Tuesday 8 September, 7:45pm BST
At the time of writing, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is advising UK nationals against all but essential travel. This advice is under constant review, but we urge supporters to follow The FCO’s guidance. If you choose to travel against the advice of The FCO, you will not be covered by any travel insurance policy in the event you need to make a claim.
For your own safety and the safety of others, please do not travel if you have symptoms such as a dry cough or temperature.
Denmark and Iceland have implemented strict entry requirements for non-residents entering each country for leisure purposes. Whilst it is currently not recommended for the purpose of attending Nations League fixtures, if you still intend on travelling to either country, we urge you to read the information provided by each government.
Please note: this information was correct at the time of writing, but is subject to change.
We will continue to update members as and when we receive further guidance from UEFA, the UK Government and the authorities in Denmark and Iceland on the position of attendance of away supporters.
We hope you can appreciate that these are unusual and concerning times for everyone, and therefore the safety and security of all involved with these fixtures takes precedence.
As the situation with the coronavirus is changing every day, we would urge members to regularly check the Government’s website for guidance and support.
