Aston Villa beat Broxbourne Borough 7-0 at Villa Park

FC Broxbourne Borough’s fairytale FA Youth Cup campaign came to an end in round five as four Harvey Knibbs strikes helped Aston Villa show their class at Villa Park.

Despite the visitors showing early promise, their resistance was broken through a Knibbs double, while captain Jake Doyle-Hayes added gloss to the 3-0 half-time scoreline.

And the West Midlands side showed little mercy against their plucky opponents, who began the competition in first round qualifying, as a Kelsey Mooney curler made it 4-0 on 49 minutes, while Knibbs completed his impressive hat-trick with a tap-in.

The 17-year-old was not done there either, adding his fourth and Villa’s sixth, while Mitch Clark’s emphatic late strike safely secured victory.

A quarter-final against Manchester City now awaits.
