Aaron Cresswell and Jordan Pickford drafted into England squad as duo withdraw

Monday 07 Nov 2016

West Ham United left-back Aaron Cresswell has been called up by England for the first time.

The 26-year-old joins Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in being drafted in by Gareth Southgate after Fraser Forster and Danny Drinkwater withdrew from the squad through injury.

Both Cresswell and Pickford will link up with the squad ahead of Tuesday's training session at St. George's Park.

The rest of the group arrived at the national football centre on Monday afternoon, with some players taking part in light sessions after a busy weekend in the Premier League.

England face Scotland in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday 11 November, before taking on Spain in a friendly four days later.

All tickets for the Scotland game have now sold out, but there is still availability for the Spain game. Seats are available from TheFA.com/Tickets, priced from just £20 for adults and £10 for children.
