England U20s midfielder John Lundstram was almost lost for words after seeing Yeovil Town lose out to a last-gasp goal at Derby County on Tuesday night.
Lundstram had opened the scoring at the iPro Stadium as Gary Johnson’s side went 2-0 up in the Championship clash.
But Derby hit back in the second half, with England Under-21s striker Patrick Bamford getting their comeback underway before an 87th minute equaliser from John Bryson set up to a 95th minute winner from Chris Martin.
"We're all gutted,” said Lundstram, who is on loan at Huish Park from Everton.
"Even before the game, if you'd have said we'd come away with a point, we'd have probably took that but to be 2-0 up and come away with a loss is devastating.”
The opening goal from Lundstram really caught the eye and was the 19-year-old’s second strike since joining the Glovers last August.
And even though another striker was of no consolation to him, it’s something which he admits he has been encouraged to add to his game.
“The gaffer's [Johnson] been telling me to get at players and to get more shots off,” he told YTFC.net.
“So in the last couple of games I've been trying to do that and drive at players a bit more.
