Harry Kane has emerged as a real leader for club and country

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane can look back on the past 12 months with satisfaction after a goal-packed year for club and country.

The 21-year-old picked up six caps over the course of 2014 and scored five goals, including the winner against Lithuania in September and the crucial equaliser against Croatia in the first leg of the play-offs in October.

He netted in the 3-0 win over Moldova before finishing the year with two well-taken finishes in the 3-2 defeat by France in Brest to set himself up for what should be an exciting 2015.

The east Londoner has also become a regular starter for Spurs under boss Mauricio Pochettino, after scoring 14 goals by Christmas in all competitions.

And if that form can continue in the second half of the campaign then Kane will be hoping to take his goal-den touch into the Euro Finals in June.
