A marauding right-sided defender with an imposing physique and bags of pace who has become an indispensable player for both England and Manchester City.
A native of Sheffield, where he began his career as a teenager with the Steel City's United, before sealing a move to Tottenham Hotspur in 2009 and spending eight years with the north London club. There, he honed his talent in the top flight before a switch to Manchester City in 2017 saw him pick up his first Premier League title.
Having featured for England at U19 and U21 level, when he excelled in their respective Euro Finals of 2009 and 2011, he made his senior debut against Spain in November 2011.
