Drew Spence scored against Germany

England Women’s U23s slipped to a 4-2 defeat by Germany in their second match of the La Manga Tournament.

The Germans took a two-goal lead after 23 minutes, but Drew Spence halved the deficit before the break.

Two more goals in as many second-half minutes put Germany in control and although Fran Kirby pulled one back for Mo Marley’s side, England were unable to complete a comeback.

The Three Lions drew 1-1 with Sweden on Saturday and their final game of this annual friendly competition is against Japan on Wednesday.
