Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed his squad
England U20s will take a 23-man squad to the Netherlands next week as they face three games in five days as part of a mini four-nations tournament.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side will face opposition from the Dutch, Germany and Turkey in Heerenveen, which will represent a big test for the Young Lions after their 6-0 win over Romania last month.

And many of the squad on duty for that encounter at AFC Telford are involved again for this trip.

There are also a few new names in the group, with Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith and Wolves defender Kortney Hause both receiving their first England call-ups.

The Young Lions will take on Germany on Thursday 9 October in their first game before facing Holland two days later.

Turkey will provide England’s final opposition on Monday 13 October, with the final rankings in the competition decided after that last match.

Boothroyd’s squad will meet up at St. George’s Park on Sunday to begin their preparations, before flying to the Netherlands on Monday.
