Mitre unveils gold Winners’ Balls to celebrate reigning cup champions

Crystal Palace and Chelsea will each be awarded a bespoke Winners’ Ball

Mitre has revealed its limited-edition Winners’ Balls for the Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women’s FA Cup ahead of their upcoming third and fourth rounds respectively.

As Official Ball Supplier to both the Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women’s FA Cup, Mitre’s golden Winners’ Ball marks the champions’ status and adds a distinctive moment of celebration to their cup journey. Crystal Palace and Chelsea will each be awarded a bespoke Winners’ Ball, exclusively used throughout their respective Cup campaigns this season.

On Saturday, the Emirates FA Cup Winners’ Ball will make its on-pitch debut when reigning champions Crystal Palace face Macclesfield Town in the third round. The following weekend, in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, holders Chelsea will first use the golden Winners’ ball in their fourth round home tie against Crystal Palace, continuing with it throughout the competition should they progress to the final at Wembley Stadium connected by EE in May 2026.

New for the 2025-26 season, the Winners’ Ball is based on Mitre’s all-new Ultimax Pro match ball. Featuring a reimagined six-panel design inspired by the iconic Ultimax of the 1990s, it brings together Mitre’s heritage with cutting-edge performance innovation.

Built on decades of ball-making expertise, the Ultimax Pro will be used across all Mitre-sponsored FA competitions for the 2025-26 season. The Winners’ Ball features a distinctive gold colourway, created exclusively to honour the reigning champions and celebrate their Cup triumph from the previous season - adding a moment of spectacle and recognition as they defend their titles in this year’s competitions.

The Ultimax Pro is FIFA Quality Pro accredited and engineered with Mitre’s HyperSeal thermally bonded construction for near-zero water absorption, enhanced durability and consistent shape retention.

Targeted HyperFlow debossed grooves improve in-flight stability and reduce drag, while an upgraded HyperFoam mid-layer delivers a more responsive touch.

A new all-over textured skin completes the ball, offering exceptional grip and close control at the highest level of the game.

The limited-edition balls will be available to buy from Mitre.com from today, available in both Ultimax Pro (£130) and training ball variants (£18).
