Danny Loader scored England's second goal against Moldova in Wednesday's game in Turkey

England U19s made a winning start to their Euro qualifying campaign in Turkey on Wednesday morning, with a 4-0 victory over Moldova.

A first-half strike from Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher got things underway following intense early pressure from the Young Lions but they had to wait until the second half before they found a second.

And that goal came courtesy of Reading striker Danny Loader, who finished well in the box after Moldova had made a poor job of clearing their lines.

Second-half subs Stephen Walker and Bukayo Saka combined in the 85th minute, with Boro’s Walker setting up debutant Saka for a simple finish.

The best was saved for last, as Fulham’s Steven Sessegnon completed the scoring in the last minute of stoppage time with a long-range strike.

England’s next game is against Iceland, kicking-off at 9am on Saturday morning.
