Kieran Gibbs replaces Ryan Bertrand in England squad

Kieran Gibbs has been called up to the England squad

Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs has been called into the England squad.

The 27-year-old replaces fellow left-back Ryan Bertrand who has returned to Southampton following tonight's 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

Bertrand was substituted with an injury in the 19th minute and replaced by Danny Rose.

Gibbs, who has 10 senior caps to his name, will link up with Gareth Southgate's squad tomorrow ahead of Tuesday's World Cup qualifier in Ljubljana.
