Toni Duggan ruled out for season with ankle injury

Manchester City and England Women’s forward Toni Duggan has been ruled out for the remainder of The FA WSL season, her club has confirmed.

Duggan suffered an ankle injury in last month’s FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup win over Liverpool.

The 24-year-old has subsequently been removed from the England squad ahead of their opening Euro 2017 qualifier in Estonia on Monday 21 September.

A replacement player will not be called up.
