Wednesday 04 Nov 2015
The FA Vase Final will take place on Sunday 22 May 2016

An astonishing FA Vase first round replay between Black Country Rangers and Coventry Sphnix saw the latter progress with a 6-4 win after extra time.

There was little sign of what was to come after a goalless first half, but Rangers looked a sure bet to advance, building a 3-0 lead with just five minutes remaining.

Yet goals from Richie Blythe and Ryan Quinn helped force extra time.

With Rangers star struck, Quinn then fired his team ahead in the 100th minute, before Rangers regrouped and drew level.

But it was Sphinx who were to triumph with goals in the second period of extra-time, from Blythe and Trovane Thompson, sealing victory.

On a goal-filled night of football, Beckenham Town beat Croydon Athletic 6-3 after extra-time to reach round two with Jamie Humphries bagging a hat-trick.

The tie was opened up after just five minutes when Croydon keeper Dan Burnett was sent off for a foul on Humphries, leaving striker Louis Blake to pull on the gloves.

Jamie Turner scored from the resulting free-kick, but Raheem Sterling-Parker had Croydon back on level terms by half-time.

Adam Allen put Beckenham back in front shortly after the restart before Craig Nelson levelled and, despite the hosts taking a lead for a third time through Humphries, Jovaun Henry was on hand at the other end to make it 3-3 with four minutes remaining.

But an extra 30 minutes of football was too much for Croydon to cope with and Humphries had a hat-trick by the 96th minute before Richmond Kissi wrapped things up on the stroke of half-time in extra-time.

Tommy Smith struck 10 minutes from time as Uttoxeter Town survived a fightback from Loughborough University to win 3-2.

After Saturday’s tie finished goalless, Uttoxeter looked in control leading 2-0 at half-time.

Loughborough clawed their way back to draw level, until Smith sent the hosts through.
