Carl Jenkinson played six U21s matches in 2015

Carl Jenkinson played a key role this year as England Under-21s reached the European Championship Finals in Czech Republic.

The swashbuckling Arsenal right-back, currently on loan at West Ham, played six times for Gareth Southgate’s side in 2015, including all three Euro Finals matches.

Jenkinson ended 2014 by scoring in a 3-1 win over Portugal at Turf Moor, and although he did not add to his goal tally over the last 12 months, he was one of the Young Lions’ stand-out performers.

The Essex native is one of the five contenders for the Vauxhall England U21s Player of the Year for 2015 and polls are now open for the award, with members of the England Supporters Club able to cast their vote for one of the five candidates.
