Charlie Austin scored his second of the season

Charlie Austin was on the scoresheet for Queens Park Rangers as Chris Ramsey’s men came from behind at Wolves to win 3-2.

With four Championship games and one fixture in League One, several England players took to the field on Wednesday evening.

Benik Afobe and Kevin McDonald scored early goals for Wolves but Austin halved the deficit before the break and Matt Phillips claimed all three points with two late goals.

England Under-20s forward Callum Robinson, who is on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, played as Bristol City secured a last-gasp 2-2 draw at home to Leeds United.

Mirco Antenucci from the penalty spot and Chris Wood – Kieran Agard and Aden Flint scored late equalisers for the home side.

Fellow U20s internationals Chuba Akpom and Moses Odubajo both started for Hull City as they claimed a late win against Fulham.

Ahmed Elmohamady scored for Hull and Tom Cairney equalised for Fulham before Sone Aluko scored a late winner in a 2-1 win.

Akpom, who toured Singapore with parent club Arsenal earlier on this summer and impressed by scoring a hat-trick for Arsene Wenger’s men in the Far East, produced an impressive performance and was unlucky not to add to his season’s goal tally against the Cottagers.

Meanwhile, Under-18s international Jonjoe Kenny started for Wigan as they defeated Scunthorpe 3-0 in League One.
