Ebbsfleet matched that stunning result with a 7-1 triumph of their own against Hythe Town in front of their home fans. Matt Godden was the hat-trick hero for his side but he was almost upstaged by academy graduate Karn Miller-Neave who came on as a sub and scored a stunning free-kick.

Charlie Sheringham, son of former England and Spurs star Teddy, bagged a brace for his side and Aiden Palmer also got on the scoresheet with his first goal for the club. After the match, Palmer said: "Delighted to have scored my first goal but over the moon for Karn to come on and score a banger."

Sam Conlon got the consolation goal for Hythe and it capped a pleasing month for him after he was given the belated award for player of the month for August.

Chelmsford City FC hit half a dozen past Worthing FC without reply in their one-sided 6-0 clash. Michael Cheek grabbed a hat-trick for the home side and he was joined on the packed scoresheet by Evans Kouassi, who scored the second goal of the game from the penalty spot. Joe Ward grabbed the fifth goal for his team and Sam Gregory got the sixth and final goal.

Elsewhere, Staines Town FC were unable to match Chelmsford City's goal haul but they did manage to beat Worthing FC by 5-0.

Manager Marcus Gayle said: "It was a great result and a very good performance at home.

Elliott Buchanan put the Swans ahead after just 47 seconds and the Surrey side never looked back. Bajram Pashaj finished off a great team move for the second goal of the match before Louie Theophanous got in on the act.

The rout was completed by Staines skipper Max Worsfold who scored two goals inside two minutes with goals on 69 and 71 minutes.

Elsewhere, Chippenham Town FC beat Ardley United 1-0 while Bath City and Poole Town contested a 1-1 tie.

Larkhall Athletic and Gosport Borough FC could not be separated despite six goals in their thrilling match with the game ending 3-3.

The draw for the Third Round Qualifying will take place at Wembley on Monday morning.
