England U17s will welcome Portugal, Italy and Czech Republic to the annual FA International Tournament next month, as they start their new campaign on home soil.

John Peacock led last season's U17s squad to Euro glory in May, but it was in this competition in the Midlands where they began their preparations as a warm-up for the First Qualifying Round of the European Championship.

And this year's round-robin tournament sees familiar foes Portugal and Italy return to St. George's Park along with the Czechs, who haven't featured in this competition since 2011.

Highlights of England's win over Turkey in last year's FA International Tournament

Last season's tournament saw England beat Turkey at the Pirelli Stadium courtesy of a goal from Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong, but the Young Lions lost against both Portugal and Italy.

The venues for the tournament are still to be confirmed, but England's first game will be against Czech Republic on Wednesday 27 August before they play Portugal two days later. Italy will be England's final game on Sunday 31 August.

Peacock's side travel to Cyprus for their first set of Euro qualifiers in late October, where they will face the host nation, France and FYR Macedonia with the top two nations in that group progressing to the Elite Qualifying Round next March.
