Huddersfield Town stunned West Bromwich Albion 4-2 after extra-time during an exciting evening of FA Youth Cup Fourth Round action on Tuesday night.

The West Yorkshire side could now face a Premier League team for the second consecutive round if Manchester United prevail against Leicester City later this week.

Following a goalless first half, Ben Atkinson put the visitors in front after Jake Charles' initial effort was parried.

But hosts West Brom, who were under the watchful gaze of the club's new senior head coach Pepe Mel, sent the tie into extra-time in the 85th minute thanks to an equaliser from Joel Ward.

Parity did not last long, however, as Charles put Huddersfield back in front shortly after the start of extra-time.

Regan Booty headed the ball into the path of Charles, whose shot squirmed under the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Huddersfield extended their advantage ten minutes later through Brad Carroll, but Philip Billing gave West Brom hope when he headed into his own net with 15 minutes remaining to make it 3-2.

West Brom poured forward in search of a second equaliser but were caught cold as Booty capped a quickfire breakaway move to clinch the win for the away side.

There were goals galore on Merseyside too as Everton edged a dramatic seven-goal thriller to advance to the next phase at Birmingham City's expense.

Calum Dyson broke the deadlock for Everton midway through the first half of the season, but Koby Arthur equalised within 15 minutes of the interval.

Courtney Duffus and substitute George Green appeared to have secured Everton's berth in Round Five, but Kyle McFarlane, who was teed up by Sam Deadfield, set up a tense finale with just 11 minutes left on the clock.

However, Green clinched the win with a free-kick, although substitute George O'Neill pulled a further goal back for Birmingham in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, Manchester City, the 2008 champions, needed 120 minutes to see off Hereford United.

Frenchman Thierry Ambrose stunned Hereford inside the first 30 seconds with a neat close-range finish, but the visitors hit back through Will Haines, who scrambled home an equaliser in the closing stages.

Ambrose doubled his tally within a minute of the start of extra-time after heading home Brandon Barker's cross, while Bersant Celina's sumptuous curled finish made sure of the result in the 104th minute.
