Eleven sides are safely through to the Third Round

Leeds United came from behind to defeat Loughborough Students and seal their place in the Third Round of The FA Women’s Cup.

Hayley James gave the hosts a 42nd-minute lead, but Leeds replied just 60 seconds later after Loughborough goalkeeper Loughborough keeper Kate Aldridge dropped Danielle Whitham’s corner and the ball bounced off a defender and crept over the line.

Olivia Thackray gave Neil Ross’s side the lead on 52, Emma Bentley made it 3-1 just before the hour-mark and Carey Huegett completed the scoring in the final two minutes.

Brighton & Hove Albion edged Tottenham 3-2 at Withdean Stadium, their goals coming from Tammy Waine, Rosie Kmita and Kirsty Barton.

Meanwhile, the day’s biggest victors were Stoke City, who sauntered to a 7-0 win at TNS Ladies.
