Liverpool scarves on 96 seats at Wembley last weekend

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy, FA staff held a minute’s silence at 3.06pm on Tuesday.

All staff at Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park observed the period of silence, which marked the time at which The FA Cup Semi-Final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest was stopped.

The St. George’s flags at Wembley and St. George’s Park were also lowered to half-mast, while a floral tribute to the 96 victims was laid at the foot at the Bobby Moore statue at the national stadium.

As a mark of respect we will not be using our social media channels for 24 hours from 9am on Tuesday.
