Regulations and Guidance in relation to The FA Football Agent Regulations

The FA Football Agent Regulations

On 1 January 2024, the FA’s Football Agent Regulations will enter into force and will supersede the FA’s Working with Intermediaries Regulations.

The implementation of the FA’s Football Agent Regulations follows a consultation process that took place in the summer and the publicised decision to delay implementation of the FA’s Football Agent Regulations until the outcome of the FA Rule K arbitration proceedings brought by a number of agencies challenging the implementation of the Regulations, which was communicated on 30 November 2023 (with the Tribunal’s award published here).

Players, coaches, clubs and agents should be aware that from 1 January 2024 the FA’s Football Agent Regulations will apply alongside the FFAR, which are already in force and can be found here (FFAR FAQs can also be found here and FIFA Circular 1873 can be found here).

An updated version of The FA Football Agent Regulations published on 31 December 2023 can be found here and below.

Editable versions of the current agent forms can be found below.

Guidance notes on the regulations will be published on this page in due course.

FIFA Licensed Football Agents can now apply to register as an FA Registered Football Agent here.

Details on how to apply for authorisation to work with minors are contained in the document below.
