An independent Regulatory Commission has sanctioned Notts County FC’s Lewis Macari for breaches of The FA’s betting rules.
It was alleged that the player breached FA Rule E1(b) 354 times by placing bets on football matches between 25 February 2020 and 4 December 2022, and he subsequently admitted the charge.
The Regulatory Commission imposed a three-month suspension from all football and football-related activity, which is suspended for 12 months pending any further breaches of The FA’s betting rules, a £750 fine, and a warning after a hearing.
