We have today published our latest calendar and guide to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) for grassroots football, which aims to celebrate and promote the diversity of the football community in England.
The calendar, which is reviewed and updated each season, is designed to raise awareness and understanding of different cultures, backgrounds and identities, and to help create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved in the game across the country.
It is by no means definitive and if you are involved in running the game, whether through a club, league, or facility, we always recommend speaking directly to the people who may observe any one of the dates mentioned in this document to understand their personal preferences and perspectives.
Also included in the guide is an update on our ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive and representative football community, where everyone feels valued and respected, and feels safe to take part in our game in any way they wish to.
This year, this includes the FA playing host to an open Iftar for Ramadan and Vaisakhi celebration, with over 1,600 guests joining us over both events; FA employees taking part in the Pride in London parade; a Windrush 75 celebration at Wembley Stadium; and continued growth in both the Let Girls Play campaign and the FA Disability Cup.
