The new eLions line-up ahead of the 2021 FIFAe Nations Cup has been confirmed

Friday 12 Feb 2021
eLions Donovan Hunt (Tekkz) and Tom Leese will be joined by two new teammates in 2021

The country's best professional FIFA players battled for the chance to represent England in the 2021 FIFAe Nations Cup this week with two new members in MHAYWXRD and BigMac joining the squad.

England's official esports team, known as the eLions, was established in 2019, with Donovan Hunt – better known as 'Tekkz' – and Tom Leese seeing off strong competition to secure their place for that year's Nations Cup, before going on to reach the quarter finals.

Two years on, the time has come to determine England's representatives for the second instalment of the tournament.

And with the squad increasing in size to four players, there are two gamers receiving their first-ever eLions call-up in the shape of MHAYWXRD and BigMac.

The 'eLions: The Eliminator' tournament took place on Thursday 11 February and Friday 12 February with Tom and Tekkz joined by 14 of the country’s best players, including former world champion Gorilla, Manchester City duo Ryan Pessoa and Shellzz and West Ham United’s Redlac to name a few.

And the last four players standing – two on PS4 and two on Xbox – have now been confirmed as our new eLions and will have a chance to represent England at the 2021 FIFAe Nations Cup later this year.
