Hi Millie, so going back to last month, how did you first find out about your call up to the squad?

I was at home making pancakes in the morning and saw a call from Phil Neville flash through! So I answered and he said ‘Millie Turner' and I said ‘Phil Neville’ and that’s how I found out! He obviously then said I was in the squad and I was just dead happy. I ran around telling all my friends and family, etc, and then celebrated with my pancakes.

You've been capped at development level previously, but what were your first impressions of the senior squad?

I haven’t been around the set up for a few years now and I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew it was going to be an unbelievable experience coming in. Ever since I arrived, I enjoyed it so much and felt like I was learning something new every single day. When I first signed for Manchester United, this was always the dream and obviously that has been seen now and I just need to push on from here.

What was the main difference between the youth set up and the senior squad?

The main thing I noticed is the tempo and you don’t really get exposed to that until you get into this environment .I'm really hoping to take that away with me into club training now

And you played in the inter-squad training game too. How was that?

It was such a good experience to get exposed to this level of football with the fast tempo and it’s just important to keep learning. We play the best players week in week out in the league but it was probably one of the most competitive games I’ve ever played in and in-house games always are.

Millie enjoyed her week of training in September

Which player were you most excited about working with before the camp?

I properly got on with all of the players on the home team, because we won the first game. And I used to play with Jill Scott at Everton so I get on with her really well too, but every player that is here you look up to because they’ve done so much in their careers. They’re all so inspirational.

What did Phil said to you during the week?

I had a one-on-one with him and he's been giving me a few pointers on how to improve my game.  I'm quite an open book in terms of wanting to learn more and become a better player so I want to get as much experience as a player and as a person at every opportunity.
