EURO 2020 ticket return update

EURO 2020 ticket return update for Travel Club members

Tuesday 26 May 2020
UEFA EURO 2020 ticket return update

The first return phase of UEFA EURO 2020 tickets closed today at 1pm (2pm CET). Members who submitted ticket return requests should receive their refund by the end of June onto the original payment card. For legal reasons it’s not possible to change your payment card details, but, if your card has expired since you paid for your tickets (and your bank account remains the same), UEFA will still be able to process the payment directly into your account.

Souvenir tickets

UEFA has confirmed that it is only possible to request a refund of souvenir tickets if you return your match tickets. If you’ve purchased souvenir tickets, these will still be dispatched after the tournament next summer.

Please note that the majority of match tickets will be issued electronically next year, via UEFA’s mobile app.

EURO 2020 SCHEDULE

Friday June 11 - Sunday 11 July 2021

What happens next?

UEFA still need to confirm the match schedule for next summer’s tournament; once that’s been confirmed there will then be a further, and final, ticket return phase.

This return phase will be for any fans who, once they’ve seen the fixture schedule, know that they will be unable to attend some or all the matches they’ve purchased tickets to.

We’ve received several queries from members asking whether they can keep their tickets, as they know they’ll be attending regardless of the new schedule.  We’d like to reassure you that your tickets will remain valid, where possible and you do not need to take any action.

The proposed dates for next summer’s tournament are 11 June - 11 July 2021 but individual match dates are yet to be confirmed. As soon as UEFA has finalised and published the match schedule for next summer, we will let members know via the ESC website, email, ESTC Facebook group and forum.

In the meantime, if you require more information, please refer to UEFA’s FAQs.

UEFA FAQS

I want to attend the tournament next summer; how do I buy tickets?

If you’re a member of the 2018-2020 England Supporters Travel Club, you’ll still be eligible for any further tickets The FA acquires from UEFA for England matches. You’ll need to wait for the returns phase to be completed and for the England Supporters Travel Club team to provide further updates on the allocation and the process for applying for tickets, should any become available.

The 2018-2020 membership closed in December 2019. In order to be fair to those members who missed out in the initial ballot, we will not be reopening the membership for new joiners. Members who were in the second ballot conducted in February, are advised to wait for further updates via the website and email.

If you wish to attend non-England matches, please visit UEFA’s website for more information on how to purchase tickets.

Membership update

We hope to provide an update regarding the 2020-2022 membership scheme and the process for existing members before the current cycle expires in July.

As a result of the lifting of some lockdown restrictions, the production and dispatch of the remaining 2018-2020 membership cards will be resuming shortly. The membership card is not a legal form of identification and is only required for collecting away match tickets. Once the remaining batch of membership packs is dispatched, no further packs will be sent out.
