Erin Cuthbert has more than played her part in Chelsea’s run to the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final.

The 19-year-old scored a hat-trick in the 10-0 demolition of London Bees in the fourth round and then added a brace to her Cup tally in the 6-0 win over Doncaster Rovers Belles in round five.

And she wants her purple patch to continue when Emma Hayes’s side meet London rivals Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday.

Cuthbert said: “I’ve scored a few more goals this season than I probably expected – and a lot of them have come in the Cup.

“It’s been really nice to score in this competition because it’s a special trophy. It’s different to the FA Cup in Scotland, it’s got a different feel to it. It seems more magical down here.

“Hopefully I’ve got one or two more goals in me for the Final.

“We’ve had so many games recently that I’ve just been taking it one game at a time. I’ve not really had the chance to think about Wembley before now.

“But sometimes it’s good to visualise. To score at Wembley and lift the trophy; which footballer in the world hasn’t dreamt about that?! I’d love to do it, that’s for sure.”

Sitting top of FA WSL 1 and semi-finalists in both the Champions League and Continental Tyres Cup, Chelsea are aiming to finish the season on a high.

A second double in four years is up for grabs and Cuthbert believes the Blues have the requisite talent to collect more silverware, starting at the weekend.

“We’ve got some great characters in the squad and a lot of big personalities,” said Cuthbert, who made her Scotland debut against Belarus in June 2016.

“We all enjoy each other’s company and enjoy training together every day. I think that comes through on the pitch. But we’ve also got quality.

We know that the girls coming off the bench are just as good as anyone in the starting eleven.

“If we play our normal game we have more than enough quality to win the game, there’s no doubt about that.

“We just need to make sure we perform. We set a target at the start of the season to be competing in all four trophies and we’ve got two left to win. That’s certainly the aim.”

Tickets to the Final are priced £15 for adults while kids go FREE!
