The new FA Women's Super League campaign will kick-off on 23 and 24 September

The new FA Women's Super League season will kick-off with a Merseyside derby and champions Chelsea hosting Bristol City.

With the 2017-18 campaign running from September until March, the season begins on the weekend of 23 and 24 September following a move from the original March to November calendar.

And the opening weekend will see Everton host Liverpool in an FA WSL 1 Merseyside derby and Spring Series champions Chelsea take on Bristol City. 

Meanwhile, in FA WSL 2, Tottenham Hotspur begin life as a WSL club with a trip to the north east to face Durham.

The opening weekend fixtures are as follows:-

Arsenal Women v Birmingham City Ladies
Chelsea Ladies FC v Bristol City Women
Everton Ladies FC v Liverpool Ladies FC
Reading FC Women v Sunderland AFC Ladies
Yeovil Town Ladies FC v Manchester City Women

Aston Villa Ladies FC v Brighton & Hove Albion Women
Durham Women FC v Tottenham Hotspur Ladies FC
