SSE Women's FA Cup first round draw made at Wembley

Monday 09 Nov 2015
All 12 ties have been scheduled for Sunday 6 December

The draw for the first round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup was made at Wembley Stadium on Monday afternoon.

Peterborough Northern Stars, the biggest winners in the fourth round qualifying with an 8-0 thumping of Hemel Hempstead Town, have been handed a home tie against Burton Albion or Radcliffe Olympic.

London Corinthians, 8-1 victors over Lowestoft Town, have also been drawn at home, to Gillingham.

And Morecambe’s reward for their entertaining 6-3 defeat of Hartlepool United is a home tie against Chester-Le-Street Town.

The first round will take place on Sunday 6 December and winning clubs will receive £250 from The FA prize fund.

Chelsea are the SSE Women’s FA Cup holders after their 1-0 win over Notts County at the historic Wembley Final in August.

This season's Final will also be staged at Wembley Stadium, on Saturday 14 May 2016.
