Neville Neville, father of former England players Gary and Phil, has passed away
The thoughts of all at The FA are with the family of Gary and Phil Neville following the passing of their father.
Neville Neville passed away in a Sydney hospital on Friday having fallen ill while supporting the England Netball team, who are managed by daughter Tracey, at the World Cup in Australia.
Neville’s sons were England stalwarts over a 12 year period amassing a combined 144 senior caps, while Gary is a current member of the Three Lions coaching staff.
Neville was also a respected figure at Bury Football Club having held a number of senior positions.
England manager Roy Hodgson said: “I’d like to pass on my sincere condolences to Gary, Phil, Tracey and the Neville family at this difficult time.”
