Players from Abraham Moss Warriors were in excited attendance pitch side this week as Roy Hodgson put the England men’s senior side through their paces.
The Warriors, from Cheetham Hill in Manchester, were recently awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary service, an MBE equivalent for community groups.
This comes on the back their coach June Kelly being the FA Football Champion at last year’s Pride of Britain Awards and also a Grassroots Hero at Buckingham Palace in 2013.
At the conclusion of training the youngsters clamoured at the tunnel to get autographs and pictures with their favourite players and Roy Hodgson took time out to have a chat with June Kelly about the team’s successes and posed for a photo with her and the team.
