FA Cup Final classic goals: Houchen's diving header

There are fewer more pleasing sights in football than a diving header - and no better place to score one than at Wembley.

In 1987 Keith Houchen did just that.

The Coventry City forward netted one of The FA Cup's most memorable goals on the way to an historic win against Tottenham Hotspur.

“I had to throw myself at it or I would never have got on the end of it,” recalled Houchen, who had busted a gut to get on the end of a move he had started, going airborn to dispatch Dave Bennett’s right-wing cross and make it 2-2.
