Noel Blake confirms 18-man squad for Euro 2014 Elites

Blake has named the 18 he hopes will take the U19s to Hungary

Noel Blake has named his final 18-man squad for the European U19 Championship Elite Round fixtures.

The Young Lions take on Scotland, Ukraine and Montenegro at Walsall and Burton in the final round of qualification before the annual tournament - which this year takes place in Hungary in July.

FA Youth Cup and U21 Premier League champions Chelsea are well represented - with five players making the final 18. 

The Southampton contingent is also strong, with four representatives involved, while MK Dons' Brendan Galloway steps up from the U18s after impressing with Neil Dewsnip's side.

The squad will meet up St. George’s Park on Sunday 18 May to finalise their preparations for the qualifiers.

After the opening game with Montenegro, England face Scotland on Monday 26 May and Ukraine on Thursday 29 May with both of those games at Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium.

The squad

Goalkeepers: Cameron Dawson* (Sheffield Wednesday), Christian Walton (Brighton & Hove Albion).

Defenders: Ola Aina (Chelsea), Calum Chambers (Southampton), Shay Facey (Manchester City), Brendan Galloway (MK Dons), Lloyd Jones (Liverpool), Matthew Targett (Southampton).

Midfielders: Lewis Baker (Chelsea), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Harrison Reed (Southampton), John Swift (Chelsea), Jordon Ibe (Liverpool), Josh Murphy (Norwich City).

Forwards: Chuba Akpom (Arsenal), Devante Cole (Manchester City), Sam Gallagher (Southampton), Callum Robinson (Aston Villa).
