Notts County Ladies have signed Australian defender Danielle Brogan from Sydney FC.
The 25-year-old made her only international appearance in 2009 and she joins the Magpies in the W-League’s off season.
Brogan said: “I’ve been keeping up with the League since it’s started and I’ve been following Notts County’s results.
“I know Anna [Green] and Caitlin [Friend] so I’ve been following their progress and I’ve heard good things. It’s good to be joining a team which have had some good results and I’m impressed with what I’ve seen.
“I’m quite nervous, playing in England is something I’ve never done before, but it’s a great opportunity and it is exciting.
“I’ve followed the men’s game in England since I was a toddler and I’ve seen a fair bit of the English women’s game as well so I’m excited to get going.”
Brogan will join up with the County squad next week in preparation for the second half of The FA WSL season which gets under way on 29 June.
Notts County currently sit in third place in the table with six points from their opening four matches.
