The FA Crest

It's a dream come true. Now I've got to work hard, enjoy every moment and keep working to just hopefully make an impact when I get the opportunity.

The Chelsea youngster was first called into the senior squad in March 2019 for the opening Euro 2020 qualifiers with Czech Republic and Montenegro, after enjoying a breakthrough season at Stamford Bridge.

An attacking talent, capable of playing on either flank or through the middle, the south Londoner from Wandsworth was always an eye-catching player for the Young Lions and played a major role in helping the MU17s reach their U17 EURO Final in Croatia, before they went on to win the World Cup in India in 2017 a few months later alongside the likes of Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho.

His first England senior call up came days after he had been named in the MU21s squad for the first time, having previously featured for the MU19s squad in the 2018-19 season.

A senior debut followed in the aforementioned EURO 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic at Wembley before a man-of-the-match display in the victory away in Montenegro had people talking about his potential.

His performances continued to dazzle domestically after forcing his way into the first-team reckoning at Chelsea, before an untimely injury suffered in the later stages of the 2018-19 campaign saw him miss out on a trip to the UEFA Nations League Finals in Portugal with England.

"For Callum to score in the six-yard box is far more exciting for me than for him to score from 35 yards, without a doubt. Because it means that he's prepared to run the extra bit to sprint in there."
