Amidst the excitement of England preparing for their first FIFA Women’s World Cup finals appearance for 12 years and Arsenal riding high on their incredible quadruple success, the FA held their ninth annual awards.
Arsenal’s Kelly Smith collected her second consecutive Players’ Player of the Year Award, whilst Sunderland’s 19-year-old midfielder/forward Steph Houghton was named FA Young Player.
