The eighth annual awards were held at The Brewery in London in May 2006. The main winner was Kelly Smith who, on her return from the U.S. to English football, was voted Players’ Player by her peers – the sixth year in a row that an Arsenal player collected this accolade – and also picked up the top scorer gong.
